Easital, the proud member of BASIS
One of the fastest-growing sectors of the Bangladeshi economy is the software and IT-enabled services industry. The government, like many other parts of the economy, is striving to improve its efficiency in light of rising demand, and this is something that can only be done with the help of sophisticated computer programs and Internet-enabled services. The majority of the market for these types of software and services is currently being met by domestic providers.
The Software and Information Technology Enabled Services industry in Bangladesh is represented by the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). The organization has been there since 1998, and its goal has always been the same: to foster a thriving software and IT service economy in the country. There are already over 1800 paid-up members. Revenue from software and IT services in the country is largely generated by BASIS members.
It is widely known that starting and maintaining a business in Bangladesh is an extremely difficult task. One of the primary reasons for this is that we lack some of the most fundamental infrastructure that is required for success in this industry. For Easital, the journey of the transition from a 60 sq ft office to a 6000 sq ft office was not that so peaceable. Patience, sacrifice, perseverance, hardwork and most significantly dreaming to grow are the main drivers of where Easital is staying today
However, we are delighted to be a proud member of BASIS as a part of this journey. BASIS has hosted a number of conferences, such as the SoftExpo Bangladesh 2002, and other events, such as seminars, workshops, and national software programming competitions. It also participates in international IT exhibitions to boost the profile of Bangladesh's IT industry. This is a milestone for Easital that we have achieved towards the dream.
The Bangladesh government and BASIS have been working together to foster an atmosphere conducive to business. As a result of BASIS's efforts, the government has improved its telecom infrastructure, adopted a tax framework favorable to the software business, and removed administrative hurdles more quickly.
We hope that Easital will always get BASIS by our side fulfilling our goals , specially contributing to the software and technology industry in Bangladesh.
